Well Hello there!

Today started out annoying and gross, feeling sick and tired and just icky (probably from vegas..if I had to guess)..and then….I shot at the most amazing location with the most awesome fun couple ever. bam. all better.

Today I photographed a couple of chefs, who just happened to bring me delicious buttermilk bacon kumquat scones….holy moly. Needless to say it was a great time, for those of you who know me- food is my second favorite thing, and photography is my first (or maybe that is backwards). Today was perfect, sometimes I get kind of gushy and mushy and right now is one of those times, I am feeling overwhelmed with happiness that I have been led into a career that I am absolutely, 100% in LOVE with. Sometimes I may complain that I am tired of retouching, I am tired of doing my own book keeping, I am tired of negotiating, and unfortunately sometimes am annoyed at the site or thought of holding a camera….but then I have days like these and remind myself why I love what I do. Spending time with awesome couples who are in love, who are funny, and who sometimes love food even more than I do…thats what makes my job awesome.

Today was one of those days. Happy Happy girl right here.

Happy Monday! and Happy belated Easter! This weekend was probably one of my favorites of the year so far, honestly. I have the best friends and the best family (despite all their craziness!) Here are some of my favorites from an engagement shoot a few weeks ago, meet Linny & Thomas! They will be getting married soon!

We shot in the hills near my house, in Chino Hills- thats the one thing that makes me love where I live. Linny wanted a “meadow” and this was the best I could fine, thanks to a friend of mine for helping me scout. Anyways, enjoy!

Hello, and Happy Thursday! Yay for almost being the weekend, and Easter weekend at that! I don’t know about you, but I have lots of fun plans..outside! Its about time to leave my desk and get some fresh air! Tonight’s engagement session on the Pier in Santa Monica should be refreshing. Anyways, enough about me- lets talk about the beautiful Valerie and her insanely talented photographer husband, Scott. Its always so darn flattering (and stressful) when another photographer hires me, in this case- scary..Scott is an AMAZING photographer, big stuff too. Oh man. Their wedding was a blast, I loved the venue at Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades, it was elegant and comfortable. Favorite part of all- the groomsmen… oh, I mean…groom’s dogs… yea. Thats it. Cheeto and Monty, decked out in doggie tuxedo’s were too cute too handle (if you know me you know I love dogs more than anything, almost). This event was perfect- from Champagne toasts, to food truck tacos- and churros to top it all off. Enjoy!

So excited to finally have a second to sit and blog this wedding, its about time! I know, I know- I am a horrible blogger, but its just something I have come to terms with!

Shauna and Ben got married this past summer in Tustin, CA- and better yet, the wedding was in Shauna’s childhood home backyard! There were so many personal details incorporated in this event, Shauna and her mom scavenged yard sales to acquire chairs, plates, silverware- you name it. Shauna is the queen of DIY and I think it shows through in this elegant backyard soiree!

Enjoy!
