six years and counting
There is something really cool that happens when you bond with your clients. When someone allows me into their wedding day, I take that seriously! For Stephan and Angela the chemistry was great right from the set go. I remember meeting in this funky coffee shop in Pasadena, laughing over lattes and sharing stories about our life. Cue the *spark joy* moment. Fast foreword a few years and a handful of session later, the bond remains, which allows an easy shoot. In order to take a good photo, you have to be able to relax. To be you. It all sounds mushy when you put pen to paper, or fingers to keys. Regardless of the mush and gush, that's the stuff I like. It makes my job easy, all I have to do now is look for good light.
On a more personal level, it is really cool to see my clients turned friends, evolve into parents. I think its just magical to see the unconditional support between these two. Through grad school, buying houses, and adopting dogs (Franchies for life!), I have been fortunate to see their story unfold and capture the smiles and good times that will be passed down in their family to come. It's pretty cool, to say the least. Look at the happiness! And Angela's style is always on point. What a fun shoot at the beach, exploring the waves, and feelin free.
